Simple Salads

This recipe is INCREDIBLY versatile. I highly encourage you to adjust it as you see fit to please your own taste buds and use ingredients you already have. Also, grab dressing packets from gas station or fast food restaurants if you’re on the go to avoid purchasing a whole bottle of dressing you may not use.

Here’s a few of our favorite salads we’ve made:

{INGREDIENTS}

2 heads romaine lettuce – chopped (or bag lettuce)

1 cup meat – this could be chicken, bacon, turkey, ham, or any other meat you have on hand.

1 cup cheese – shredded, cubed, crumbled.. again, whatever you prefer or have on hand.

1 cup veggies – peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, avocado, carrots, etc.

1 cup nuts – chopped or whole

1 cup dressing – homemade or store-bought

{INSTRUCTIONS}

Chop and wash lettuce, otherwise just use pre-cut bagged lettuce. Shred or chop up meat of your choice. Chop up cheese if necessary. Chop up veggies of your choice. Chop up nuts or leave them as is. Assemble salad by placing a heaping half cup of lettuce on each plate. Then top with veggies, meat, cheese, nuts, and finally drizzle with dressing.
