The idea of this pasta salad is very versatile. I’m sharing this “recipe” because it’s recipes like this that help me stick to my food budget every month. Using up the foods already stashed in your home is the number one way to start shrinking your grocery budget today.
Follow the guidelines below, make your own version of this pasta salad, then let me know how your creation turned out!
[INGREDIENTS]
2 cups pasta – the cheapest is fine, or whatever you already have on hand.
1 cup meat – this could be chicken, bacon, turkey, lunch meat, or even make it vegetarian.
1/2 cup cheese – shredded, cubed, crumbled.. again, whatever you have on hand.
1-2 cups veggies – peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, avocado, etc.
1/2 cup dressing – from your fridge or homemade. I like Italian dressing!
[INSTRUCTIONS]
Cook pasta according to box instructions, then allow to fully cool. Dice up any veggies you will be adding to the pasta salad. Then, combine all ingredients including dressing. Stir until combined, adding more dressing if necessary. Enjoy!
Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to three days.
