We’ve been back in our beautiful home for a couple weeks now. Words cannot express how much I’ve missed our abode.

All the comforts of home. Transitioning back home took a few days for sure. Overall, I think it’s going much smoother than I anticipated. I’m more of a glass half empty girl. I anticipated bad attitudes, fighting over all the toys, and discontent hearts from the children. But I’m reminded that Jesus urges us not to worry, so these anxieties about tomorrow must be submitted to the Lord today.
God is my ULTIMATE comfort in coming home.
Creating New Routines
My husband and I are making many goals for the days and months ahead. We are instilling new routines like consistent Bible times and family bike rides. We are allowing one another space to work and grow. He gets allotted hours to work and so do I (instead of trying to cram in work during the crevices of our life).
We have three main goals in mind:
- Wake up between 5 a.m. – 6 a.m. each morning to spend time with the Lord.
- Begin a workout routine and stick to it!
- Establish a full-time income we can consistently make from side hustles.
I have high hopes for these goals… but ask me how it’s going in a month and we’ll see. I have the least amount of faith in the working out. I’m just NOT a gym rat. But I’m also tired of being squishy.
P.S. This isn’t really a routine, but we also successfully transitioned Levi into a big boy bed. It went so much smoother than this negative nancy assumed it would. Praise God once again!
A Moment To Reflect
Though the trip was incredibly rewarding, we came back exhausted and in desperate need of some normalcy. That being said, I wish everyone could venture off on a six month road trip at some point in their life. My perspective on life has shifted for the better.
I saw believers in dozens of churches worshiping the same God I do.
I met families with godly routines I’d like to mirror in my own home.
I saw God’s fingerprints on display from mountains to beaches and all the landscapes in between.
God is at work everywhere. What an honor to be apart of it.

Here are some of the churches. From North Carolina, Arizona, Kentucky, or South Dakota, I could write a book about all the incredible churches around America.
Of course, we’re most excited to be back at our own church and growing closer with the believers in our own city. I’m brushing up on some old and new dinner recipes so we’ll be ready for hosting! It’s been a while since we had good friends sharing meals around our dinner table.
This was a successful creation I made just a couple days ago. I’ll call it Loaded Homemade Potato Chips. Mmmmm.

If you think of it, we’d appreciate prayers for what’s ahead. The Lord has allowed us to work from home is so many different ways. We need wisdom on what’s best for our family, as well as financially.
See ya around!
